Milestones & Successes
As part of our mission to support organizations, institutions, and individuals in addressing community issues, Yayasan myNADI has proudly contributed to several impactful initiatives across Malaysia.
Permanent School Site for a School in Lukut, Negeri Sembilan
Challenge: Students were forced to attend classes in shop lots for years. Despite media attention and public appeals, no permanent solution had been implemented.
Our Action: Yayasan myNADI engaged directly with the Ministry of Education’s KSU, district education office, local JKR, land office, the school’s principal, and the PIBG to push for a resolution.
Outcome: A permanent school site was allocated nearby, and the Ministry appointed State JKR to begin construction on a new school building.
Flood Mitigation and New Block for a Senawang School
Challenge: Annual floods caused significant structural damage and disrupted education. Repeated appeals by the school community had gone unresolved.
Our Action: Yayasan myNADI facilitated strategic meetings between the school, and Ministry of Education. We guide submission of a proposal including flood-related data and costing.
Outcome: Approval was granted for a new school block and flood-prevention upgrades, ensuring a safer and more stable learning environment.
Tuition Centre for B40 Families in Rasa, Hulu Selangor
Challenge: Rasa, an underserved town, lacked access to affordable education support for B40 families.
Our Action: In collaboration with local stakeholders, we launched a tuition centre in 2009, supported by passionate educators led by Cikgu Syiamala.
Outcome: The centre has helped hundreds of students improve academic performance, with many successfully completing their SPM with flying colors.
Temple-to-Community Transformation in Kuala Selangor
Challenge: Limited access to educational and cultural activities for children in the local community.
Our Action: Supported Sri Subramaniam Temple’s initiative to become a community learning centre by providing transport for weekly religious classes and facilitating Odissi dance lessons led by Padma Bhushan Ramli Ibrahim and his team.
Outcome: The community secured federal and public funds to build a multipurpose hall, now a vibrant hub for education, culture, and empowerment activities.
