Orang Asli or indigenous peoples are often have much in common neglected segments of societies, such as economic marginalization and poverty, lack of access to social services and discrimination. Besides that, there is population problem in the community and among them often leads to the neglect of their health and of essential needs like proper nutritious foods for the whole family. In Ulu Slim in terms of health, the Orang Asli record a lower health status than the general population.
Novartis is a global healthcare company that provides solutions to address the evolving needs of patients Nationwide. As CSR project Novartis Malaysia with A-Look and myNADI organised Health awareness campaign for Orang Asli, The event were held in SJK Orang Asli, Pos Bersih, Ulu Slim, some 500 adult and 137 Orang Asli Student participated in the event.
