In 2019, Project Sakthi marked its fourth consecutive year of providing financial support and free meals to devotees during the Thaipusam festival at Batu Caves. This year, we catered to the needs of 35,000 devotees, ensuring they received nourishing meals over the course of the two-day event.
Community Involvement
Our initiative was powered by the dedication of 200 enthusiastic youth volunteers. These young individuals played a crucial role in the success of the project, engaging in both the preparation and serving of the food. Their hard work and commitment exemplified the spirit of community service and solidarity.
Two Days of Service
For two days, our volunteers worked tirelessly to prepare and distribute meals. The effort involved meticulous planning and coordination to ensure that all 35,000 devotees were fed efficiently and with respect. The meals provided not only physical sustenance but also a sense of care and community to those attending the festival.
